About Us
Owners Clint & Sheena Asbell were born and raised right here in Gainesville, Florida. Clint, a graduate of Flagler College has a Bachelors of Arts in Sports Management and Sheena, a graduate of the University of Florida holds a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Sport Sciences.
Growing up in Gainesville, they quickly realized that shopping options were extremely limited. As two people who had a true passion for shopping, they spent most of their time traveling to other destinations where they were not so limited. Whether a day trip to Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa….or a week’s vacation to New York or Los Angeles, they always found themselves away from home to fulfill their shopping needs. In 2009, after working in the Pawn Industry for 5 years, Clint had an idea that would take “Pawn” to a new level (at least in Gainesville, Florida).
In November of 2009, Haile Plantation became the home of Gainesville’s newest and most upscale “Pawn Boutique & Jewelry Store”. Haile Jewelry and Loans would operate as an upscale pawn shop with a trendy South Florida boutique atmosphere. Although they buy and offer collateralized cash loans on items such as: Automobile’s, Boats, Motorcycles, Electronics, Tools and Musical Instruments, they are set apart from others by specializing in New and Pre-Owned Fine Jewelry and Watches, Diamonds, Gold and Silver, Designer Jewelry and Designer Handbags and Accessories.
With designer names like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Fendi, Michael Kors, Coach, Tory Burch, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, David Yurman, Rolex and Breitling (just to name a few) Haile Jewelry and Loans now offered a unique selection of inventory at unbeatable prices.
As local small business owners, they take great pride in the fact they have created an environment within their store where all of their customer relationships are taken to that next level where everyone truly feels like family. We strive to create loyal customers who will stop by on a regular basis even if it’s just to say hi and chat about their weekend activities.
In addition, Clint and Sheena always return the favor. They support local small business owners and their businesses every opportunity possible. From eating out and shopping to purchasing insurance, they always seek out the local small businesses.
The Asbells also enjoy giving back to the community through local charities and fundraisers. Majority of their focus and passion, involve the Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida. An annual food drive is held during the month of August and they work to collect as much non-perishable food items the store can fit! In 2016 20,000+lbs of food was collected and given to hungry children in Alachua County!! You will feel the Haile Jewelry and Loans presence at community events such as VIVA, March of Dimes, Putting on The Ritz, Gainesville Gone Austin, Reeling for Kids & Taste of Gainesville..just to name a few!
